How can you decide which Master's degree is right for you?

First decide what you want to do and what you are interested in and we will help guide you to the degree that fits the best.

Our Master of Arts in Chaplaincy  degree might be right for you if...

You are interested in being a chaplain for:

• Hospice
• Law enforcement
• State or local prison  
• Community and third space (non-religious) settings
• Corporation, Sports, etc

International students interested in Chaplaincy must choose this program for visa purposes.

 

Our Dual Degree in Interreligious Studies and Chaplaincy might be right for you if...

You are a domestic student interested in being a chaplain for:

• Federal prison
• Hospitals / V.A. Hospitals
• Military
• Higher education

Or you want to be a non ordained Chaplain (needs checked or reworded)

Our Master of Arts in Interreligious Studies degree might be right for you if...

You are:

• Interested in ministry
• An international student who does not want to be a Chaplain
• A certified/working chaplain who would like more exposure to interreligious curriculum
• A certified/working chaplain who would like to complete the industry standard 72 credits 
  
   

• Your denomination requires a Master of Divinity for Chaplain certification (need to be ordained) check on this and does not accept an equivalency

• Your denomination requires that chaplains be ordained ministers -- Lutherans? Methodist? Or are these students best served elsewhere? follow up on this
